Barbara Hudson - The Fakeaway
How it all began....
In January 2013 I made the decision to
join a well known slimming group and
begin my weight loss journey. I had my
third child the previous May and had
not made any real effort to loose the
weight I gained. I had in actual fact
ignored it completely I guess and put it
to the back of my mind trying not to think too much about the fact I was a size 18 and weighing just over 16 stones. Just after Christmas in January 2013 my close friend Julie called me asking if I would like to join a slimming group. After the initial shock of the suggestion that I was fat I figured why not? And so my journey began and The Fakeaway was born
So, what is The Fakeaway Café? Well first of all, despite the name I do not actually have a cafe. Unfortunately you can't simply pop in for a sit down, a meal and a brew. I make meals from scratch using good quality fresh ingredients bearing in mind your needs and requirements. I then freeze them in individual portions ready for you to re-heat at home or work.  The only decision you need to make is what to have. Our menu is quite extensive and all dishes are listed in the online ordering  section of the website.  We can cater for most if not all dietary needs including vegetarian, vegan, dairy and gluten free. Whatever your preference we are here to help  you.
We have two menus available. Our original menu caters for uses of a popular slimming group and uses a Fake Score (F/S) based on a score of 1-10. 1 being the lowest. You know the one?
Our most recent menu is based on calories so perfect for those that work on the calorie deficit way of weight loss. These meals have their full calorific values as well as the macros and many of them can be found on the "Fitness Pal" app.
Now in 2020, I am a regular long distance runner, cyclist, swimmer and the founder of Rotherhams only "FREE & Fully Inclusive running/walking club.  The world has changed somewhat as has my life over the last few years. I dedicate most of my time to  getting people of all ages and physical status to feel good about themselves, not just by providing them with healthy home cooked meals but giving guidance and support via Rawmarsh Runners through our brand new C25K scheme which we set up during the Covid-19 lock down .

Come along to our Facebook page for special offers, new meals and desserts and share your thoughts and ideas with others.
